REDESIGNING Every AFC EAST Uniform
My name is Dale Upkeep, a uniform expert, and FASHION GENIUS! I’m here to fix every AFC East team's uniforms. The New England Patriots, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins all look like poo poo and I DON’T LIKE ‘EM! New England Patriots REDESIGN
The Patriots current logo is horrible and confusing. What does a flying Elvis have to do with anything? We fix that by changing it to Mel Gibson from the movie The Patriot.
This logo works perfectly on a helmet. No doubt who this team is.
With the stars on the helmet that leaves the rest of the uniform for stripes. Now that’s a patriotic look right there. I also understand the importance of the Boston tea party to locals so I wanted to give homage to that event with TEA BAGS written on the front. That can also become a team nickname. Gooooo TEA BAGS!!!
Here it is from the back. To tie everything together I also put Mel Gibson and the thirteen stars on the socks. This is the look of a true patriot.
New York Jets redesign
Jets? Was Cars taken? I don’t like it! I actually really like the Jets original name, the Titans. So I think we should change it back to Titans. Now, because there is already a team called the Titans the New York Titans will technically be called Titans 2. Instead of using a number I went with two footballs.
By simplifying the New York Titans 2 logo allows it to work perfectly on the helmet.
I continue the two football look on the front and back of the jersey.
That says New York titans 2, but super simplified and sophisticated .
Buffalo Bills
When I hear Buffalo Bill, I think most people would agree with me that you think of Silence of the Lambs. So let’s design a uniform based on him!
For the logo on the helmet I went with my favorite scene, the lotion in a bucket.
For the jersey I was inspired by the shall Buffalo Bill wears. So I made the whole jersey that pattern. Then for the numbers I went with the cut out magazine look. Gives it that great ransom note vibe. He doesn’t really wear pants. So I made them legs! For the socks I kept with the fishnets and I continue that look up the pants.
This does run us into some issues with the back of the pants that will have to be censored on TV, but I think the Bills will like this design so much they’ll overlook this part.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins is a great name for a swim team, but not for a football team in Miami. What is the first thing you think of when you hear Miami? BEACH! They should be called the Miami Beaches! Then for a mascot they should go with something scary. Hammerhead sharks are prevalent at Miami Beach so that’s the perfect mascot for them.
The hammerhead logo looks great on the helmet. It’s so aggressive!
The best part of the uniform is that it’s so bright yellow that it work for both home and away.
The Dolphins currently have Miami written on the butt of their current uniforms and I know how important that is to their look. So I made sure to keep that style for the updated look.
