why Chicago bacon?
Chicago Bacon
Bacon’s grandmother, Marianne, immigrated from Stockholm, Sweden to Chicago when she was 20 years old. She only expected to stay a year or two with her nannying job and return home to Sweden, but quickly fell in love with Chicago. She met Bacon’s grandfather, William Bacon, while he was working at Merchandise Mart.
When Bacon was growing up in Los Angeles he would visit his family in Chicago at least twice a year. He loved everything about the city and thanks to his father’s help, or some would say misguidance, he became a die hard Chicago Bears fan.
Now, he has lived in Chicago for longer than any other place in his life. Bacon, and his wife Ruth, own a home together on the north side where they live with their cat Mayor McCheese.
Bacon loves to grab b-roll when he’s out and about in the city.
Sometimes he’ll create a video, like the one above, with his favorite shots.
